🔒 Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 31, 2026
1. How We Collect and Use Information
We do not ask for personal information to use the free tools. Our hosting, security, and selected tool providers process limited data needed to deliver, protect, and operate the service:
- Tool Input and Processing: Tools marked Client-side Processing handle input only on your device. Tools marked Browser Network Requests, Local + Cloud Processing, or Cloud AI Processing transmit the data needed to provide the requested feature. We do not intentionally retain tool input after processing unless a feature clearly states otherwise.
- Technical Request Data: Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers may process request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and access time to deliver, secure, and measure the service. SonicToolLab no longer creates a browser identifier for its former first-party unique-visitor counter.
2. Third-Party Services and Cookie Policy
We use selected third-party services to support hosting, security, requested tool features, payments, and advertising. Advertising choices are handled by Google's certified CMP where required:
- Google AdSense: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can visit Google Ad Privacy & Terms and opt out of personalized advertising at any time via Google Ad Settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info. - Hosting and Traffic Measurement: Cloudflare provides hosting, security, and aggregate request measurements. Standard connection data may be processed under Cloudflare's applicable terms; tool input is not intentionally added to traffic-measurement events.
- Tool Service Providers: Depending on the feature you choose, requests may be sent to Frankfurter for exchange rates; IP lookup providers for approximate network information; Pollinations.ai for suggested presentation images; and contracted cloud AI or task-queue providers. These services receive the request content needed for the feature and standard connection metadata under their own policies. Providers may change when implementations are updated.
- Your Choices: You can manually disable or delete Cookies in your browser settings at any time. However, this may affect certain functions of this site or third-party services.
3. Children's Privacy Protection
The content of this site is not directed at children under the age of 13. If you do not meet the minimum age required by law, please use this site under the guidance of a guardian.
4. About AI and Your Data
When you use a tool marked Cloud AI Processing or Local + Cloud Processing, the required input may be sent over HTTPS to our server and selected model providers, such as Google Gemini. We do not intentionally use tool input to train our own models or retain it after the request. Provider processing remains subject to the applicable provider privacy terms. Local OCR with Tesseract.js runs entirely on your device.
5. Payments and Subscription Data
Pro checkout and subscription billing are processed by Dodo Payments or Creem. If you are signed in, we may include your account email address and internal user ID in the checkout request so that a successful purchase can be matched to your account.
The payment provider collects and processes payment method and billing details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive limited purchase records, such as purchaser email, transaction or subscription identifiers, payment status, renewal, cancellation, and refund status, to provide and manage Pro access and customer support.
6. Cookie Consent & Your Choices
Google AdSense code is limited to technical articles and selected tool pages with substantial documentation. Where required, Google's certified consent management platform (CMP) presents the available advertising choices and records the user's decision. The Cookie Settings link in the footer reopens Google's consent choices when that service is available. We use the following categories:
- Essential Cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., remembering your dark/light mode preference and language selection). These cannot be disabled.
- Infrastructure Measurements: Cloudflare may derive aggregate traffic, performance, and security measurements from requests handled by its network. SonicToolLab does not create a separate first-party visitor identifier for analytics.
- Advertising Cookies (Optional): On eligible content pages, the Google AdSense script may load. Where required, Google and its certified CMP determine available personalized, non-personalized, or limited-ad choices under their applicable terms.
7. Policy Updates and Contact Information
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time due to legal or service adjustments. The latest update date will be displayed at the top of the page. We recommend you check this page periodically for the latest changes.
